How much importance do you think you have given to your thoughts? Maybe more than what was required or completely ignored?If only we had had an idea about how much difference would a thought make in our lives.
There comes a time where all we crave is for peace. But given a thought again, how? Let me tell you about a girl who got a chance to attend a party for the first time. Since she had never partied before, the excitement in her was on the next level. All she could think was how much fun would it be to get drunk and get on the dance floor. At the party she couldn't control herself while drinking, one peg two pegs and it went on and on. Little did she care about her limits and all she did was to puke all night.
Wouldn't things be different had she stopped at two pegs? I ain't saying drinking is bad but the same thing taken in excess is bad. Only if she would have known that it's not the 3-4 drinks that would excite her but just a tipsiness over a drink that would make it all worth it. Start on a thought but make sure not to end it by over thinking- Completely ignoring your thoughts is stupidity and over thinking on them is even worse than stupidity.
It's as simple as it looks. Someone had once told me- 'Thinking isn't bad but over thinking is". He made me understand in simple words- think about what you can do to get the situation right rather than giving importance to it's consequences. All he meant was not to put my mental peace at stake. "It's all in your mind" and "You're the reason for your own happiness" are the famous sayings everyone's heard about. Once you understand these phrases you will realize the more you think, the more you suffer.
Stop over thinking and see how happy you see yourself from then. Our thoughts play the main role in our story called life. It's the thoughts that have got you where you are-may it be good or bad. It's on you to make your thoughts the hero or villain of your story. Peace is within us- Apni soch badal kar tho dekho, sukoon milega. Try to figure out which thought is good for your mental health and go for it- kyoki doston, Mann ki shanthi ka maza he kuch aur hai.
Life is a movie where you are the director of your thoughts. It's upon you to decide whether you want to give a blockbuster(inner peace) or a flop (self-destruction)
The Choice is yours.
